Upon arrival in Beijing, OSSN conference participants will be met by our local guide at the baggage claiming area and then be transferred to our hotel, 5-Star Capital Hotel. This evening will give us time to relax or explore on our own.

March 21 - Beijing

This morning after breakfast, we depart to visit the Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world. Located at the center of Beijing City, you can also see Tiananmen Tower, Monument to the People's Heroes, Great Hall of the People, and Mao Zedong Memorial Hall. Thousands of people come to the Square every day. It is the must place to visit in Beijing City. Initially built in 1417 during the Ming Dynasty (1368 A.D.- 1644 A.D.), the Square was the front door of the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was the home of Chinese Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties for more than 500 years.

The Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section, or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section, or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court, fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987, the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world-wide.

Lunch is also included and will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, we will visit the Temple of Heaven, one of the finest examples of Ming Dynasty architecture in Beijing.

In the evening, OSSN members are the guest of honor at a special welcome banquet given by the China National Tourism Administration!

March 22 - Beijing

After breakfast this morning, OSSN members will attend a half day conference jointly held by China National Tourism Office and Beijing Tourism Office. Educational workshops will feature sales and marketing expertise by China Travel Service, our Destination Management Company and hosts for this event. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant and in the afternoon, you will enjoy a pedicab tour of the Hutongs, the “old city” neighborhood of narrow lanes and courtyard gardens hidden behind Beijing’s modern façade. As a special treat, we will be invited to visit local families and we will also inspect some of the nice hotels in Beijing if time permits.

This evening, all attendees are treated to a special "Chinese Gong Fu Show!" The Gong fu Show will feature by the Tian Chuang Performing Art Company that is also owned by China Travel Service Group (Holdings) Hong Kong Limited, parent company of China Travel Service (USA), Inc.

March 23 - Beijing

Today’s highlight will be a long awaited excursion to the Great Wall at Juyongguan! Enjoy the dramatic vistas and marvel at the Wall as it climbs and descends steep ridges and narrow valleys. Lunch will be served along the way back to the city. After lunch, you will visit the famous Summer Palace, located on the west side of the city on the Kunming Lake. You will wander the gardens and covered walkways, and admire the 17-arch bridge. In the evening, you will be entertained during a farewell dinner to be hosted by the Beijing Tourism Office.
