South African Airways is promoting “leap year” roundtrip fares from $803 (departing New York/Kennedy) and $853 (from Washington/Dulles) to Cape Town, Durban, or Johannesburg. You must buy these tickets by Feb. 29 for travel through April 30.

A national flight attendants union reports that it has gathered enough support among workers at Delta Air Lines to call for a formal union organizing vote.

Also, Delta will begin flights on June 5 between Salt Lake City and Eureka, Calif.

El Al will add more nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Tel Aviv starting April 1. It’s also reduced prices on its spring early-bird airfares and companion fares.

Emirates plans new daily service between Dubai and Cape Town (South Africa) starting March 30.
