Tap Into the River Cruise Market

8/10/2005 -

River cruises -- in Europe, China, the U.S.A., and other markets -- have grown very popular in recent years, as "baby boomers" flock to this relaxed means of exploring these vacation regions without climbing aboard a tour bus. Plus, they offer excellent commissions, and they're easier to sell than customized land packages.

How do you describe the river cruise experience? Romantic? Fascinating? Europe at its finest? All of the above! OSSN is very excited to offer these two unique river cruise fams in conjunction with Amadeus Waterways (an OSSN supplier member!). Join us and cruise the rivers of Europe this fall ...

The first cruise -- "River Romance" -- is a seven-night sailing departing Nuremberg (Germany) on Oct. 16 and arriving in Trier (near Luxembourg) on Oct. 23, with stops along the way in Bamberg, Wurtzburg, Wertheim, Miltenberg, Rudesheim, Koblenz, Cochem, and Zell. While regular fares start at $1,799 or $1,899 ppdo plus taxes, you can book this fam cruise at the special OSSN member rate of $799 ppdo (outside staterooms -- Hayden Deck -- category D or E), plus port taxes of $63! Non-members traveling with you will pay an extra $50. Upgrades are available at an additional price.

In conjunction with this cruise, Amadeus will also offer a five-night pre- or post-cruise package that includes two nights in Berlin (with city tours!) and three nights in Antwerp (with tours to Brussels and Brugge), along with transfers. The OSSN rate for this package is $595 ppdo.

Everyone who knows these stretches of European waterways agrees
that there is no greater river cruise itinerary than the
"River Romance." Cruise through the most scenic and the most
romantic valleys in the world; be close to the heart of the people
living in the medieval cities along the Danube, Main, Rhine, and Moselle rivers; and encounter exciting discoveries on every day of the trip. Combined with two of Europe's greatest cities -- cosmopolitan Berlin and historic Antwerp -- this makes a truly remarkable and unforgettable vacation!

OSSN's second Amadeus Waterways fam is just as spectacular! It's the "Europe's Heartland Cruise" that leaves Trier on Nov. 6 and arrives in Nuremberg on Nov. 13, with stops in Bernkastel, Zell, Cochem, Koblenz, Rudesheim, Heidelberg, Frankfurt, Miltenberg, Wertheim, Wurtzburg, and Bamberg (with an optional pre-cruise package in Paris and an optional post-cruise package in Prague). The OSSN rate for outside cabins is $799 ppdo plus $63 in taxes (Hayden deck -- category D or E). Upgrades are available for an additional charge. The optional pre- or post-cruise package (three nights in Paris and two nights in Prague, including transfers and tours) will be $595 ppdo. (Remember that transfers alone usually run $80 pp each way!)

You'll sing the praises of the fascinating Rhine as one of the most scenic rivers in Europe! Meander the Moselle Valley with Europe’s steepest vineyards and explore the Rhine River with all its picturesque castles! Enter the Main river with its quaint medieval towns, and sail through the Main-Danube Canal to historic Nuremberg where your journey ends in historic Prague, also called "the city of a hundred spires!"

These two fams are very limited -- and they will sell out FAST! Check OSSN’s fam section for full details!
