There are a plethora of fascinating places in our world. There are cities that still preserve centuries-old architecture. There are mountain ranges, lakes, forests and seas that no photograph, either on film or digital, can ever capture when you see them in person for the first time. They all are part of our history. They are part of our world. And, there is so little time to see them all

So, we make lists of what we want to see. If I had to choose my top 10 destinations, I would have to include Greece and the original city-state of Athens. After all, this is where historians tell us civilization began. This is the home of Socrates and Plato. Men who asked their fellow man to think.

Greece is the birthplace of astronomy, democracy, mathematics, philosophy and many of the modern science disciplines.
