Is the Ship Sailing Without You???
by Penney Rudicil
OSSN Eastern Regional Manager

Do you have all of your clients' personal information -- such as address, phone, and email -- readily available?

Do you know when to send birthday or anniversary cards?

Do you remember when every payment is due?

Do you know when and where your clients would like to go on their next vacation?

Do you have a customer relations management system?

If you answered no to any of these questions, you may be letting your competition have a shot at wooing your clients away from you. Your competition is not only other travel agencies, but also the Internet. With all the marketing/advertising today, YOU need to be in touch with your clients every chance you get -- and it is easy if you have all of their information readily available in a database.

You need to let your clients know you are thinking about them on "their special occasions" or before the holidays. You need to be sending out marketing items such as post cards or emails to your clients regarding destinations or special promotions. A customer relations management database will help you to organize your client information and only send to those interested in the specific promotion.
