Errors & Omissions and General Liability Insurance:
What You May Not Understand -- and What No One Has Really Explained Until Now

Ever walked out the door on a clear summer morning -- and gotten caught in a lunchtime rainstorm, without your umbrella?

That's the position you may find yourself in, if you don't understand the coverages (and limits) of your errors and omissions ("E&O") and general liability ("GL") insurance policy!

Many OSSN agents pay their host agencies a small fee (usually $50 to $100 or more) to be added as an "additional insured" to the host agency's "umbrella" policy. While this step certainly saves you money in the short term over buying your own individual coverage, you must remember that this type of protection is a "shared limit policy."
