Protecting Your Clients' Investments?

Often
I hear new agents and even seasoned agents ask
"what is travel insurance",
"do I really need to sell travel insurance?", and "what if my clients
say they do not want the insurance?"
When asked these questions, my standard reply is:
Would you drive your car without insurance? Buy a house without insurance?
Go without medical insurance for your family?
Then why would you sell a valued client a cruise or vacation package without
travel insurance?
After spending time qualifying your client and researching just the right package
for them, it is your responsibility to talk with them about 'protecting their
investment'. Because the unforeseen and unexpected can occur before or when your
client travels away from home, you should always recommend Travel Protection.
A wide range of coverage and services are available, either through the supplier
or a third party company.
The basic coverage offered by most policies are:
- Pre-Departure Trip Cancellation
- Post-Departure Trip Interruption and Travel Delay
- Accident & Sickness Medical Expenses
- Emergency Medical Evacuation
- Baggage and Baggage Delay
