TravelSafe's 'OSSN Direct' Program Adds NEW Highlights For Members!
by Melody Fee
OSSN Vice President

article continued from

Initially, TravelSafe has been paying an enrollment fee for every policy sold that was equal to 25 percent of the total policy amount. However, the program is undergoing a slight revision beginning in November. Since the insurance sales industry is very tightly regulated (which is very good and very important!), OSSN and TravelSafe have now restructured the OSSN Direct Program to make sure we are in exact compliance with all insurance codes for sellers of travel insurance.

When you go to the OSSN Direct "Monthly Earnings Schedule" located on this Web page, you will see a new schedule of potential earnings based upon the total amount of policy premiums you sell each month. The enrollment fee you will earn will vary between 23 and 28 percent of the total amount of policies sold per month, in most instances. In some cases, it is even higher. For example, if an OSSN agent sells $100 total premium in one month, the enrollment fee is $35, for a total of 35 percent of the total premiums sold. This TravelSafe "Monthly Earnings Schedule" will vary as the amount of total earnings increases for each agent registered.

OSSN is also excited that TravelSafe offers two additional benefits that are so important to agents selling the OSSN Direct Program to their clients. First, the "financial insolvency" benefit covers your clients' travel costs if suppliers (who have NOT already filed for bankruptcy protection prior to the effective date of coverage) file for bankruptcy protection more than 15 days after your clients purchased their TravelSafe policy. With MAJOR suppliers filing for bankruptcy protection every year, agents must do everything they can to provide this type of coverage. Selling TravelSafe insurance will provide your clients with the "peace of mind" they deserve.

OSSN members who are using the OSSN Direct Program are also able to add the special optional coverage which offers clients the ability to "Cancel for Any Reason" and have 75 percent of their nonrefundable trip costs covered with a cash refund. Clients must purchase insurance within 15 days of their first vacation deposit AND they must insure 100 percent of their travel costs.

We have seen a great response over the last two months, with several hundred OSSN members increasing their insurance sales by using the OSSN Direct Program. If you have not enrolled in this program, don't delay. It is a quick, easy, and GREAT way to increase your travel sales income while providing your clients the security they greatly deserve.

You can sign up online by going to this Web page. You can also contact TravelSafe at 800.523.8020 and speak with Debbie Hole (our OSSN Direct representative). Peace of mind and real protection -- that's what selling TravelSafe insurance can provide you and your clients!
