A Decision Without Basis = Prejudice
by Bob Abrames
article continued from
"Seconds" is all it takes to get us going on the wrong path, the path to no sale. Learn to ask the right questions. Learn to listen. Quit beating around the bush as if you're afraid to find out what they really want. Instead of asking "When were you thinking of going?" ask "Exactly what date did you want to leave?" Instead of getting their name at the end of the product part of the sale, get it upfront. The more questions you ask precisely, politely and up front that deal with the issue of "booking," the more positive you're going to be and the greater the chance of the caller turning into a customer.
Ask honest questions, be sincere, be respectful -- be compassionate. Let every caller know you appreciate his or her call.
Most importantly/b>, keep an open mind.Don't depend on your "psychic" abilities to qualify callers. A customer, a person who wants to buy, will tell you everything you need to know to make a booking if they believe you want the business and if you want to really deliver the service you profess to be selling.

Want
to learn more about MS EUROPA? Please see below.
 |
The Hapag-Lloyd
Cruises flagship is rated as the
world's best cruise ship by Berlitz Cruise Guide (2001-2006). The EUROPA's
airy, elegant interior is designed to
make you feel at home the minute you
arrive. Perhaps her most striking feature
is her sheer spaciousness - she
offers far more space per guest than
any other cruise ship. There are no
cabins on the EUROPA, only >>
suites: 204 of them,
nearly all with verandas. Our Penthouse
Suite guests even have their own personal
butler. Good style means different things
to different people. So, we cater to
the wishes of every guest with dedication
and passion. |
| The
many leisure options include comprehensive,
state-of-the-art spa and fitness facilities
and a personal trainer. If our guests
want to head off and expore various
ports of call, we offer individual and
group guided tours, rental cars and
chauffeur driven limousines. Our onboard
concierge service will be delighted
to arrange personal excursions and help guests
to create a customized, dream vacation. So,
while there are always lots of activities
to choose from, our guests are
always free to pursue their own personal
agenda, if they prefer. Our discrete
and attentive service crew will often
fulfill wishes even before they have
been expressed. |
 |
 |
If you
set out to build the best cruise ship
in the world (Berlitz Cruise Guide),
you need to incorporate the most
advanced technology there is. The
EUROPA's latest-generation Azipod propulsion
system gives a smooth, almost vibration-free
ride. Every suite has its own free
information and entertainment system,
including video and audio on demand
and a personal e-mail address. There
is even a highly sophisticated golf
simulator featuring 21 world-class
holes, and a video analysis facility
allowing you to perfect your swing under
the guidance of a PGA professional. |
| There
is a choice of three gourmet restaurants
offering fine dining: international,
Italian or Asian fusion style, often
prepared by acclaimed and Michelin-starred
guest chefs. If guests are in a more
relaxed mood, they can visit our grill-style
restaurant on the Lido Deck or enjoy
simple but excellent finger food in
the "Sansibar." Or, they can
treat themselves to a romantic dinner
for two on the veranda of their suite.
We believe luxury is also about
offering our guests a maximum of variety
and freedom of choice. |
