the early days of aviation, airlines enforced one basic rule for
carrying your infant (two years of age and under) aboard a commercial
flight: Forget about it! Many major airlines actively discouraged
or even prohibited babies aboard their planes.
Nowadays, as airfares continue to drop and as more
families travel together on vacations (or even tag along on a parent's
business trips), more mothers and fathers want to check infant
airfares and the rules enforced by the major airlines for babies
on flights.
