Why are some people so much better at sales than others? Is it a skill that can be learned? Is it an art, a natural inclination -- a gift?

The key to becoming better at sales is to simply understand selling.

My goal with this column is to help you become more successful. Although these are relevant, I don't think they help those who are struggling with growing sales or those who do not understand the foundation needed to create a sale. That foundation is the connection that must be created with the customer that will in turn allow the transactional sale to close, and to close naturally.
