Ask any OSSN member about continuing education (keeping our travel knowledge and selling skills sharpened), and the immediate thought that comes to mind may be "cost."

It costs money to register for trade shows, pay for lodging and meals and airline tickets, and account for the days that we're out of our offices to attend conferences and workshops and fam trips. Sure, those costs are sometimes discounted when travel suppliers and destinations pick up part of the tab -- but, obviously, professional travel agent training represents an investment for all of us in our businesses.
