Two months ago, more than 700 travel agencies around the United States hosted 35,000 consumers during the “World’s Largest Cruise Night” sponsored by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA). That single-night promotion led to almost 15,000 cruise bookings!

Of course, many of these agents own traditional storefront travel businesses, with longstanding relationships with their cruise line district sales reps and managers. However, more and more home-based agents are hosting similar events in their communities.
