This past December, I wrote about the delights of Greece as a destination for your clients. I gave Athens, one of the most charming cities in the world, a few paragraphs and neglected to expand on the wonderful experience this city can provide, especially for first time visitors.

Greece is a wonderful country. The people are outgoing, warm and hospitable. Although, to be truthful, it is not uncommon to run into a waiter or two who will present you with an attitude. Sometimes it is nothing more than an act. But, that is part of the charm of the people, and the city that after all is the birthplace of democracy, and the Olympic games.

In 2004, before the games were once again held in Athens, the city underwent a $12 billion renovation. Your clients will fly into Athens International Airport, which opened in 2001, and was then improved three years later for the influx of visitors and athletes for the games.
