The
ultimate scenario for selling groups is not only the initial higher
revenue that it will generate, but also the repeat business that
follows, whether it be a group that repeats every year or the spinoff
individual business. Selling a group is only the first step to assure
that you end up with the results that you want to achieve. Below,
I have outlined what it takes to nurture a group booking
-- from the inception to the welcome home.
Anita's multi-step program to keep your group cruise
business sailing along
Once I have group space confirmed, I create a binder
complete with all of the vital information regarding all pertinent
aspects of the cruise. Included will be a complete inventory
of staterooms that have been allocated by category. As staterooms
are assigned, I log them into the inventory sheets so that I can
readily see what is still available or what needs to be added. You
should carefully record when deposits are due and when group space
will be recalled. I also add these important dates to my electronic
calendar in Microsoft Outlook for automatic reminders.
