Home-Based Agents Will Take Over Tampa in March!

What remains as the only travel agent show and conference dedicated to both tours and cruises -- the fourth annual Tour & Cruise TravelWorld -- will take place March 24-25 in Tampa, Fla. This event will give home-based agents an unparalleled opportunity for boosting sales, sales, sales. At the same time, Travel Industry Shows will combine this event with its second annual Golf & Spa Show and Conference -- a perfect partnership for the tour component in the primary event.

Travel Industry Shows President Chip Caruso emphasized that Tampa represents "an alternative location that has been bypassed for travel agent shows and conferences in recent years, despite the fact that it is now the hub of a major metropolitan area that includes St. Petersburg and Clearwater." He also noted that this area is within driving distance of such other key resort cities as Orlando, Sarasota, Fort Myers and Naples. "These are pure weekends for travel agents," said Martin B. Deutsch, the convention chairman. "There are no mixed messages in these highly-regarded travel agent events, which continue to draw excellent delegate attendance from coast to coast, at the same time that we deliver this critical audience to our growing roster of domestic and international suppliers." He said that this show's slogan will go back to the original theme of "Tour the Cruise World, and Cruise the Tour World."
