What’s the Essence of Selling? ASKING!
by Bob Abrames

First, the very essence of selling and marketing is ASKING. I am even more convinced of that after asking you for help and in turn receiving a flood of responses. I also know that my asking gave a bunch of travel agents the idea of doing some asking on their own. Here is a note from Marcia in Florida:

"You gave me an idea. I am in the midst of having a Web site in place. When it is ready, I will e-mail all my clients and advise them I am up and running and need their help. I'll ask them to refer one person to my Web site, and I in turn will send them a referral fee of $25 per booking after the client returns home. (Marcia Berwick, Royal Palm Beach, Florida)"
