Chapter Chats

Dallas and Fort Worth

Lu Ann Edger - the director of the OSSN Dallas Chapter -- helped organize a joint meeting with the OSSN Fort Worth Chapter on April 19 at the American Airlines Training & Conference Center. Forty-three agents completed their "60 Web Sites in 60 Minutes" seminar inside a DC-10 first-class mock-up at the training center! Tony Marra, the sales director for AA Vacations, offered a short presentation on what's new with America's travel packages (and provided snacks and beverages for the group).

OSSN Oregon Chapter

The OSSN Portland Chapter attracted many new members and suppliers in Oregon to the Niche Travel Trade Show on April 20! Pamela "PJ" Ott, the chapter's director, welcomed them to the show. In this picture, Casey Cavasher (Journeys Around the World), one of the chapter's members, won the show's grand prize: a roundtrip ticket to South America!

France Fam Trip

These lucky OSSN members sailed on a Viking River Cruises fam voyage from Le Havre to Paris, through the Normandy region of France, to complete the France Destination Specialist Course. As you can see from their expressions, it was a great trip!

OSSN Memphis Chapter

Jamaica came to Memphis in April, as the OSSN Memphis Chapter welcomed Frank Bronsdorf (Jamaica Tourist Board) to their April 11 meeting. Patricia Bannister, the chapter's director, shared many things about Jamaica's history and culture that the agents did not yet know, and he updated them on the many new hotels and resorts coming to Montego Bay and Negril. He also explained the regulations governing weddings in Jamaica for the agents' clients.

Pictured (standing, l to r) are William Bowles, Karen Shipman, Frank Bronsdorf (Jamaica Tourism Board), Saralynn Turner, Susie Bennett, Denise Anderson, and Denise Chavers, while seated (l to r) are a visitor, Patricia Bannister (the chapter director), Dr. Patty Calvert, and Sylvia Askew. (Not shown are Wayne Anderson [who's taking the picture!], Sterling Askew, and Amarjet Keshav.)

OSSN Inland Empire Chapter

These members of the OSSN Inland Empire Chapter in California enjoyed a wonderful meal and meeting organized by Mary Ann Mari (the chapter's director) at the Mission Inn in Riverside, Calif., on April 20. Barbara Sargent with Norwegian Cruise Line presented her company's ships and itineraries during the meeting.

Royal Caribbean Fam Cruise

OSSN President Gary Fee escorted a group of 40 OSSN agents during a Seminar at Sea aboard Royal Caribbean's "Grandeur of the Seas". The cruise left Tampa on April 22, and the agents traded ideas and learned new tricks for selling Royal Caribbean voyages to their clients.
