the "Burger King" Philosophy
When Burger King went after its competition for a larger
share of the market, the company knew it had to be able to offer
something unique from the other fast food hamburger chains.
They all sold hamburgers in one form or another. They
all served French fries and side orders. Then, they realized that,
although everyone wanted a hamburger, not everyone liked the same
things on their burgers. The net result was the slogan and philosophy
of "Have it your way!" They stood above the crowd and gave
the customers what they wanted - their way. This campaign resulted
in tremendous growth and name recognition for the chain. Burger
King and "Have it your way" have become synonymous. All this on
the one basic concept of giving the customers what they want!
