Managing Your Travel Business: Is Podcasting Worth the Effort?

Podcasts (derived from the name of the popular Apple iPod line of portable music devices) are pre-recorded audio programs posted on the Web and shared via downloads for listeners anywhere in the world.

While many OSSN agents may own iPod-type units to enjoy music, more businesses have now begun considering "podcasting" to promote their products and services. Basically, that means you would record an audio program talking about your trips and services -- and, then, load those recordings onto your Web site or share them with your clients and prospects in other ways.

Here's the basic question: Is podcasting worth the effort (and the expense)?
