Travel Niches: Destination Weddings, Re-Visited

In August 2005, we discussed the basics of destination weddings in the OSSN E-Agent. Today, let's talk about two growing trends that make this niche so promising for home-based travel agents.

First, scheduling the actual wedding ceremony as part of a cruise is now very common.Many cruise lines love hosting weddings on their ships, and smart brides and grooms can benefit greatly by getting hitched at sea. One big advantage is cost -- basic cruise wedding packages (including the ceremony, keepsake photos, and other services) start at around $750 and go up from there. (The wedding package comes in addition to the basic cruise fares.)
