Chapter Chats

OSSN Boulder, Colo.

The OSSN Boulder (Colo.) Chapter learned the secrets of planning marriage ceremonies in Las Vegas from Martine Arndt. Martine literally wrote the book on this subject: Easy Las Vegas Weddings.

Robin Paschall (pictured), the chapter's director, graciously posted Martine's MS PowerPoint slides and useful links on her own site: www.adventureswithinreach.com
/ossn/meetings/meeting082406.html
.

(You can order your own copy of Easy Las Vegas Weddings at www.easylasvegasweddings.com or www.gleneagle-productions.com.)

The Boulder chapter will not hold a meeting in September. Its next gathering will be Oct. 12 at 1 p.m. local time (located TBD). Robin will show slides from her trip this month to Tanzania (including a safari!) and Zanzibar.

Westchester County/Hastings on Hudson Area:

Karen DeQuasie (pictured) will hold the first-ever meeting of the OSSN Westchester County (N.Y.) Chapter on Sept. 14! Karen will share pictures from this inaugural meeting in next month's "OSSN E-Agent." She's expecting more than a dozen agents to help organize OSSN's newest chapter. "I'm thrilled to hear about this new development!" one agent emailed her. "Although I live in Rockland [County], I would be happy to come over the bridge for meetings!" We wish Karen and her fellow OSSN members the best of luck in getting this brand-new OSSN chapter off the ground.

Jacksonville, Fla.:

The OSSN Jacksonville (Fla.) Chapter met recently with Loretta Wasielewski-Cresente, the Carnival Cruise Lines representative covering northeastern Florida. "Loretta was full of great ideas on how to get new groups and constantly offering marketing dollars!" reports Phyllis Evenson, CTA (pictured), the chapter's director. "Whatever your idea to get a group, she will come out and support you."

Delaware:

"We had the best-ever attendance," reports Donna Gussow (pictured), the director of the OSSN Delaware Chapter about the group's latest get-together. "Sue Sheehan from Travel Impressions told us all about their programs and encouraged our members to register with them. We also had two representatives from Sol Melia who told us about many of their properties in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Punta Cana. The members were very appreciative and are looking forward to working with these suppliers."
