Chapter Directors Summit in Nashville Section
In late July, 26 OSSN chapter directors from around the United States gathered in Nashville, Tenn., for the first annual OSSN Directors Summit. This amazing and educational event helped develop the directors’ knowledge and leadership skills for use with their respective chapters.
Over the jam-packed weekend, the directors spent time going over their responsibilities as well as the tools provided by OSSN to help them achieve their chapter goals. OSSN Directors are the direct line between OSSN Headquarters and individual OSSN members. They are committed to making sure you receive every benefit afforded to you as you make your home-based travel business a success. One of those benefits is the OSSN Chapter Meetings. The OSSN directors in attendance shared their ideas and experiences that have made their OSSN meetings fun, exciting, and of course educational.
These OSSN leaders also learned about software and other useful tools as well. It’s this software and tools they will be able to use in order to produce more exciting OSSN chapter meetings than just bringing in the usual travel suppliers. Many of these same tools will also help you grow your home-based travel business with marketing, technology, groups, and much more!
Special thanks go to Gary Fee (OSSN President), Melody Fee (OSSN Vice President) and especially Penney Rudicil (OSSN Eastern Regional Manager) for producing the first annual OSSN Directors Summit. Patricia Bannister (OSSN Memphis and North Mississippi Director) and, Jeff Grieder (OSSN Midwest Regional Manager) also participated in educational presentations as well. Anita Pagliasso, OSSN Western Regional Manager, could not attend as she had neck surgery during this time frame, and we are happy to report she is doing well!
Also, we’d like to thank the generous sponsors who provided support for this weekend summit: Galveston (TX) Convention & Visitors Bureau, Travel Industry Shows, Queensland (Australia) Tourism, Barbados Tourism, Jamaica Tourism, Travel Insured, TravelSafe, and Miami Tourism (along with Penney and Kevin Rudicil and OSSN Headquarters)!
We invite our members to look at the photos that were taken during this event and thank the many chapter directors who attended. OSSN looks forward to an annual Chapter Director Summit in the future.
