OSSN’s 2007 Predictions for Home-Based Agents

In the “OSSN Daily” last week, we shared 2007 travel forecasts from several leading industry experts. According to the researchers at Yesawich, Pepperdine, Brown & Russell, this year will bring higher prices for airline tickets, hotel stays, and other travel services (based on strong leisure demand). Travel bookings on the Internet will be flat this year. Family travel will grow faster than all other types of trips, and more suppliers will experiment with inclusive pricing this year.

In the cruise world, CruiseCritic.com says we can expect the return of mid-size ships in 2007, along with more onboard services set aside for higher-paying passengers, more exotic ports of call, more adventure-oriented itineraries, and more routes in southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
