If you’re serious about your travel business, you’re a true entrepreneur. As an entrepreneur, you’re interested in maximizing your profit – otherwise, you couldn’t stay in business (well, perhaps on a volunteer basis). How do you feel when a client tells you that he can “get a better price online?” How do you respond when a client basically holds you over a barrel, wanting you to reduce your price or rebate some or all of your commission?

Over the years, many agents have wanted to retain their customers so badly that they have “given in” and taken less. In the end, all they’ve achieved is adding one more price-sensitive customer to their ranks who will continue this behavior in the future because the behavior has been rewarded.
