In late February, we had a little tussle with a leading travel trade newspaper.

If you read the “OSSN Daily” regularly, you’ll know what I’m talking about. The editor in chief of a major trade publication used phrases like “Hells Angels” and “grains of sand” to describe home-based travel agents in a recent article.

Many of the OSSN members who were angry about these characterizations understood, at least in part, the point that the editor was attempting to make: It’s tough sometimes for suppliers to measure the bottom-line impact of thousands of travel retailers who work from home.
