We’re expecting a big anniversary in January 2008.

That month will mark the fifth birthday of the Travel Retailers Universal Enumeration system -- what we call the TRUE program.

In my January 2008 column, I’ll tell you the whole touch-and-go story of TRUE’s origins -- how we fought from the beginning with airlines and other big suppliers who didn’t want to give agents control of any booking numbers, and how we built TRUE into the world’s largest travel agent-designed and -managed booking number system.
