The Art of Packaging Adventure for Profit: South Africa

I awoke this morning before daybreak to a knock on the swinging door of our hut in the bush of the Timbavati Nature Reserve. It was Jimmy, our driver and guide for our safari today. I didn’t know before I arrived in South Africa that this would be the way I’d start every day for the next incredible nine days.

I’d prepared this itinerary for four friends. They wanted an authentic safari experience, but being well traveled, they also wanted to enjoy the luxury for which South Africa is justly celebrated. It ranks in the top 20 destinations worldwide; its hotels and spas are known to be amongst the best in the world. Cape Town has become a culinary capital, and with the award-winning wineries just forty minutes away, the possibilities were numerous. I had been to South Africa before, and I had in mind exactly which luxury private game lodge resort I’d suggest: Sabi Sabi. I just needed good advice for the authentic bush camp.
