Diversity and Travel

Have you noticed how small the world has gotten with the use of computers, the Internet, email, cell phones, and so on? We are a global society and, if we are to succeed in living a quality life, we must learn to acknowledge the differences in others. Rich cultural diversity can be seen at the airport, by walking through a mall, or in corporate offices. Travel and business dealings often take us across geographic boundaries and into unfamiliar areas. Some of us might view ourselves as unique and adopt a parochial view of the world limiting our ability to grow as human beings. Without growth and open-mindedness, we prevent ourselves from experiencing life to its fullest.
