Las Vegas draws more than 39 million visitors annually to its version of paradise on earth. World-class shopping, the biggest names in entertainment, jaw-dropping mega-resorts, ultra-deluxe restaurants . . . your clients' vacation options may seem limitless!

The biggest surprise for many visitors to Las Vegas – including travelers whose last trip occurred during the Rat Pack days, as well as Sin City newbies on their virgin visits – is that this destination is not cheap. In its early days, Las Vegas was indeed a penny-pinching traveler’s paradise, with $2 buffets and super-low room rates offered on the premise that gullible gamblers would make up the difference by losing at the slot machines and around the gaming tables. Nowadays, the city has morphed into a remarkably upscale travel spot, with celebrity chef restaurants and billion-dollar casino resorts – and its prices have risen accordingly.
