Chapter Chats

Delaware/New Jersey/Philadelphia

Holland America Line played a leading role in the joint chapter meeting on Nov. 1 organized by Hema Khan with OSSN's New Jersey, Delaware, and Philadelphia groups. Beth Widhson, the line's district sales manager, and Danny Bishop (one of Holland America's Alaska experts) introduced the HAL Alaska Coach to the agents and discussed the company's cruisetour products. Hema says this presentation made her want to take this cruisetour herself!

Mesa/Phoenix

Paula Goldsmith -- the director of the OSSN Mesa Phoenix Chapter -- sends us this photo from her Oct. 30 gathering. The chapter will hold its holiday party on Dec. 7.

Austin

The OSSN Austin Chapter learned the basics of selling wedding travel during an Oct. 23 seminar with Hilary Lanzer of Ask Me About ... Destination Weddings. More than a dozen agents attended this session, says David Appleby (the chapter's director), who notes Hilary's presentation was well received.

Kentucky

Bobbie Murphy, who directs the OSSN Kentucky Chapter, planned a very creative outing on Oct. 17 to the historic Keeneland thoroughbred horse race track in Lexington. Fifteen agents enjoyed the hospitality of Kitty Ruxton with Norwegian Cruise Line for this event, which included an NCL update, excellent food and drink, the chance to watch a few races (and place a few bets), and even a serenade by the Kentucky Men's Glee Club. Bobbie says it's the largest gathering to date for the Kentucky chapter!
