WLCN: Are You Ready?

This month, thousands of travel agents around the United States will take part in the World's Largest Cruise Night - a very popular annual promotion for cruise bookings organized by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

The actual WLCN evening is set for Thursday, Oct. 16 -- but, agents will host cruise nights and virtual events from Oct. 3 through Oct. 31. And, for many storefront and home-based agents, it's a big deal: CLIA says more than 900 agents held cruise nights during the 2007 WLCN campaign, with another 3,000 or so offering online cruise nights. They generated almost 35,000 bookings worth $43.3 million in sales (and $5.8 million in commissions!).
