DC/Southern Maryland

Susan Patrice - the director of the OSSN DC/Southern Maryland Chapter - reports a great turnout for her group’s March 17 meeting in Largo, Md. Loan Sewer, the director of sales for the U.S. Virgin Islands, updated the agents on the latest USVI news – and, she gave away a special prize of a four-night hotel stay in the islands for one lucky agent and a companion!

Southern California

Several OSSN chapters in southern California joined forces on April 18 for a very successful joint meeting at the Santa Anita Race Track. Paula Mitchell Manning (the director of the OSSN Los Angeles Chapter) shared these photos from the event.

Cheryl Ormond (Globus Family of Brands) shares the latest “niche market” products
with agents from OSSN’s chapters in southern California.

OSSN agents listen intensively to the training, which focused on “How to Work with the Press.” Paula reports that one OSSN member drove in from Las Vegas to attend this special day!

This Santa Anita Race Track meeting also taught agents how to make big commissions by having clients host events at the track. Shown here (l to r) are Paula Mitchell Manning, Deanna Ting (associate editor of TravelAge West), Catharine Hamm (travel editor at the Los Angeles Times), Cheryl Ormond (Globus Family of Brands), and Chris Quinn (Santa Anita Race Track).

Members of OSSN’s chapters across southern California enjoyed a catered lunch on
the private Baldwin Conference Center Terrace. “We had GREAT seats to watch
the horses come out of the gate!” Paula reports.

South Carolina

The OSSN South Carolina Chapter held its April 14 gathering at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, S.C.
