Yes, the cruise industry has evolved into a global one, and where the ship sails (along with the ports of call) is still one of the key deciding factors when it comes to many cruise clients.

But, as new ships continue to be launched – and, as cruise lines continue upgrading their existing fleets with new looks and feels (from facilities, accommodations, and entertainment to dining experiences and restaurants) – there is a renewed interest in the ships themselves.
